For  calculation of number of atoms we have to

  1. calculate the number of moles present in 1gram carbon.
  2. Multiply the number of moles with Avogadro number.

Step I

Number of moles in 1 gram of carbon = given mass / molar mass

Molar mass (molecular or atomic mass expressed in grams) = 12g

So the number of mole= 1/12

                               = 0.0833 moles

Step II

1g of carbon will have = 0.0833 x 6.022 x 1023

= 0.501 x 1023

1 gram of carbon will have = 5.01 x 1022   atoms

  1. Hiya! I just wish to give an enormous thumbs up for the nice data you’ve got right here on this post. I will likely be coming again to your blog for extra soon.

    1. thanks a lot for your appreciation
