what do chemical symbols and formulas represent respectively ?

Chemical symbols :- These are the symbols that are used to depict a specific element. Like N is the symbol of Nitrogen, Fe is the symbol of Iron, C of Carbon, Zn of Zinc and O of Oxygen.

Chemical formula :- These formulas give us information of a molecule that how many atoms of a specific element have joined in a fixed proportion with other.

For example :- formula of H2SO4 tells us that there are two atoms of Hydrogen , one atom of Sulphur, four atoms of Oxygen.
